A gift from the bride, to the bridal party, that shows her appreciation is a wonderful tradition. It can also be a bit challenging to find something that will suit the tastes of all the members. Another makeup case? Coffee mug? Tote bag? These are things that they probably have in plenty.
Creating a “goody basket” is a great alternative. It lets the bride choose items that are meaningful, fun and personalized. It also gives a lush appearance. All you need for the base is a fun box or basket, shred wrap and cello bag or bow; plus 3 or 4 items that can be based on a theme. For example:
Put together things that are based on the season of the wedding. For example, if the wedding is in the warmer months, the basket might feature a coffee house gift card (for a cold drink), flip flops, summer candle, sunglasses and summer drink mix.
Who doesn’t love a little self pampering? A basket with a candle, hairclip, loofah and luxury body scrub might be great.
If you are going away on a special trip, there are endless options based on the destination. A Vegas trip, for example, could include “by the pool” staples like body lotion, t shirt and lip balm in fun flavors. A trip to the local craft store or big box store can yield lots of cute ideas to fill out a basket.
There are also lots of general things that can work great across any basket. Including a gift card to their favorite eatery or clothing store, beautiful stationary or note card sets, fancy chocolate, mini wine or champagne and of course a heartfelt note of thanks.
